Number Five

How fitting that our 5th child will be born on 05/05. What a fun 'super' birthday he will have when he turns five. Do you know what a 'super' birthday is? When you turn the same age as your birth date. So when I turned 19, since my birthday is the 19th of May, was my 'super' birthday. I was in college and my parents were on this fabulous vacation to Bermuda, I had told them it was my 'super' birthday (a roommate in college is the one who clued me in on this wonderful thing) they followed the rules and sent me 19 gifts! So anyway McKell will have to wait till she is 31 and Alyssa 22. Nate and Juan or Jose or Paublo will be able to celebrate it a lot sooner. But a 5th birthday on the 5th month and 5th day has got to be like a 'super, super' birthday, how many gifts for that?

My fabulous friends who are quite the little photographers took some fun pregnancy pictures of me yesterday. So this is me until baby comes out tomorrow!

I survived our garage sale on Saturday (it was a success), Phil's 2 weeks of nights rotation, crazy getting ready for baby cleaning, busy children's schedule the past 3 weeks, baby hiccups at least 2 times a day, kids not having room to sit on my lap, lack of wardrobe, lots of ouchie shots, annoyance of not being able to bend over, making 70+ baby announcements... and am ready for baby to come. We all can't wait to meet this little guy, even though he will probably be nameless for his first year of life. Will try and get Phil to post pictures or stats of little no-namer, in the mean time, give me some name ideas!

Good Luck today I hope all goes well can't wait to see pictures. I was thinking of you last night. Good luck with the name one time I printed the top 100 names and told Mark to circle the ones he liked, he had about 5-10 and one of them was Taylor. That's how we came up with her name. I'm excited for you.

I still like Jacob but like Aidan because we knew a cute little boy in New York with that name.

Oh, yes, and Good Luck! We will be waiting to hear the news.

Wow, all those 5's are very cool. Hope all goes well today. You look beautiful in your photos as always. My favorite boy name is Jacob. Still working on getting one of those in our family.

Hope all goes well! I asked Zachary for you if he likes his name and he said "yep", I asked why and he said "because I love it!". So, that might be a good name! Can't wait to see pictures of the baby whatever you name him!

I agree, the 5th birthday for your 5th child on the 5th day of the 5th month should definitely be worth more than 5 gifts. I think 55 gifts would at least be worth thinking about! Good luck today!

We called it the "Golden Birthday" when you turned the same age as the date, but it wasn't about the # of presents, it was about the event/party you got! (14 on the 14th for me...I had a big BOY/GIRL all-day water skiing party, then a BBQ at my house later, followed by watching Miss Utah, Sharlene Wells, be crowned Miss America that year - imagine the cheering, complete with banana splits!) The "Golden Birthday" worked in that family because the birthdays were the 13th, 9th, 14th, 5th, 7th, & 3rd. But MY Family's dates aren't very good: 25th, 20th, & 28th. I told them they better hope their spouses (or mission companion in Kyle's case) treat them RIGHT! :)

That really is a super birthday! We have always celebrated what we call Golden Birthdays. Annie's is this year (Nov. 5th) and we will celebrate at Disneyland!!!!
