We are doing a count down to Cinco de Mayo around here. We LOVE that holiday and celebrate it every year... well actually we will be after this year. That is the induction date for baby boy, so one week from today. We are all very excited and can't wait to meet this little guy. Wish he had a name or a list of names, I am thinking we should do something with a Spanish Flare. :)
Maybe I will get some prego pictures done this week and get them posted before we go in on Tuesday so you can all see me in my glory at 9 months pregnant.
We are keeping busy around here with 4 different nights of swimming lessons for the girls, 3 different nights of soccer for the girls, 2 days of dancing for the girls and a little Natey Boy that gets hauled around to everything wishing he could play soccer and go swimming. The swimming ends this week so life will be much more managable when the baby arrives.

Hoppy Easter
We had Stake Conference on Easter and last week was General Conference so our Easter lessons at church were all 2 weeks ago. So the kids wore their Easter outfits to church 2 weeks ago. It was nice a few days before but snowed on Saturday night and Sunday morning. There is ALWAYS snow in every Easter picture since moving to the midwest so I made the kids take their coats off and get a picture, even though it wasn't really Easter. I had to bribe them with candy!
This was the actual Easter Sunday. No snow but it was a little chilly and the snow came the next day, luckily it didn't stick!
We went to the park on Saturday for the Coralville Egg hunt. Wow, there were thousands of people, seriously thousands. The parents were knocking down the fences that surrounded the eggs so their kids could get one of the 10,000 eggs that were there. They had age limits on each fenced area but no one took any notice. When the instructions were given they were trying to get the kids to go the farthest in so no one would get trampled. It was CRAZY! The kids had fun doing little Easter crafts and petting live bunnies.

We were able to go to Nauvoo with our friends from medical school. It was so much fun. The kids had a blast and it was great to catch up after not seeing them for almost 3 years.
We are so excited for spring to be here. We have started getting our yard dewinterized and it is going to take some major time and yard waste bags. Wish we could just hire someone to come and do it so we could spend time getting the garden ready. There really isn't enough time in the day or daylight left when Phil gets home from work.
My weekly Dr. apts are going good. Baby is looking good on the Non-stress tests I do each time. Poor baby doesn't have a list of names yet, I can't find anything that I really like (ideas are welcome). The little guy arrives in about 3 weeks so there is definitely things that need to get done around here!

Come have a Ball...
As you have gathered from reading my blog, Nate is obsessed with balls. So what better theme for his 2nd birthday party (I don't know how to throw a party without a theme). We had a super fun ball party Saturday morning. We had 7 little 2 year olds and McKell and Alyssa. The kids had a blast and it all went super smooth! Here is the birthday boy with his party helpers out front waiting for the guests to arrive. It was cold but they thought their wrist bands would keep them warm.
When I brought Nate downstairs in the morning, everything was all set up and he got the biggest smile on his face and just kept pointing and saying ball, ball, ball. He loved it! Here he is examining the treat bags and snacks, it was too early to have a full on lunch but it ended up being a lot- donut holes, round orange jello jigglers, grapes, trix, round cheese- you get the idea (balls).
Check out that cake! I wish I could take credit for it but a couple of friends from my ward did it. They did an awesome job, if you live here I will give you their number. The cake tasted as good as it looked too!
Nate had no problems blowing out the candles. He did it in one blow. He wanted to do it again later that night, so we got the 'hot, fire' out again for him.
Here is a group shot. They all had so much fun playing with all the balls. We played football (throw the football through the hula hoop) and basketball (our little tykes hoop brought inside) in the basement. McKell was such a good little helper. And then played baseball (bat and bigger than baseball sized ball) and soccer (ball pit) in the family room. All the kids did each of the little events.
Then we had lunch/treats and opened presents and then ended with cake and ice cream. It was a perfect amount of time (1.5 hours) and everyone left happy.
