Kids Day!

I thought I would share this, cause it was soooo cute! For Mother's Day Phil and the girls- pretty much McKell- made me breakfast in bed. Our church is at 9 am so it took a little extra planning and work. The girls were so excited when they brought it to me. They talked about it for several days after saying is it still Mother's Day, I of course said yes you need to be extra nice to me.
Anyway, McKell then started asking about Dad's day and I told her Father's Day was coming up. She said are we going to make breakfast for dad and I said sure. So then she really started thinking and said what about Kid's Day? She said Alyssa and I want breakfast in bed for Kid's Day, when is that? I told her Kid's Day is every day! But Phil being the cute dad that he is made them breakfast in bed the next Saturday. They loved it! Phil will do anything for his girls, even give up a cherished morning of sleeping in! Now that's a great dad!

He's a growin' here in Iowa!

So here are some pictures I have been promising of Nate. He is so fun to have around. I don't know if having a boy is just exra fun after all our wait or if they are all like this but I am REALLY enjoying him! He is smiling up a storm all the time and the girls love it! They especially love it when I get him to tell us "stories" but they only like the happy ones. When he cries it is like the girls haven't been screaming all day themselves- they say "Please Stop!" while holding their hands over their ears and Alyssa starts screaming "Twinkle, twinkle little star"- which he does NOT like. But all in all they have been so fun this summer.

The reason it all started!

I hope everyone enjoys this use of my time. I have been avoiding it for as long as possible. I have met some very fun people here in Iowa and they are all bloggers. I have given into their peer pressure because I keep getting nagged by our parents for current pictures. So I will let everyone into our lives here in Iowa using this blog.
McKell put me over the edge today and that is why I decide to start it now. After church she took off her dress and went upstairs to get some clothes, she LOVES to pick out her outfits. She came downstairs (see photo) and asked "Do I look stylin' or fancy?" So I will leave the question to you and let McKell know how everyone responds!
This should be fun- Please enjoy!! --Nicole
