Winter Blahs!

I think I have the winter blahs. I don't know what it is... the on going winter season with no sight of it ending. The growing list of resolutions on my side bar.:) The 'normal' lows after the highs of the holiday season. Missing my family in Utah. The fact that I haven't seen my old friend for too long.
I just can't seem to get motivated to do anything super productive. I have a huge list of projects that are calling my name, but I have been sitting down playing trains with Nate (thanks Kasey), and reading Valentine books with the girls. I haven't been taking naps or watching tv, just not motivated to accomplish anything.
To do: get Nate's 9 month pictures taken
scrapbook
finish wood project
finish sewing projects
scrapbook
work on church projects
learning and playing with photoshop
find a money tree

So anyway any wonderful ideas (besides going on a tropical vacation) that you might have would be greatly appreciated!

How about going on a vacation to Colorado? Oh wait...you are! :) Don't worry in no time at all we'll be Wii'ing it up, sipping orange julius, and sitting in the hot tub.
Can't wait!

Its great that you are playing trains with Nate and reading to the girls. Something that I need to do more of. Good luck on getting the "list" done.

I totally can relate. Between the 'winter blahs' and 'cabin fever' we are hurtin' over here! Treating myself to something I love to do or buying a small new something picks me up. I'm hoping we make it through this winter, though! Oh, I'm looking forward to spring!!

Move to California. It has been 60 and sunny all week long. Absolutely wonderful!!! Are you jealous yet. O.k. some fun ideas. Make obstacle courses through the house (be super creative). The kids love it and will play for hours. Bake sugar cookies from scratch and have the kids do all the work. This takes hours too. Clean each room from top to bottom with the kids doing most of the work and then give them a surprise after each room. This is a all day project. Have Fun!

Didn't you love growing up in St. George? Every winter I am set on moving there.

I have the winter blahs big time, but just think, only 2 more Iowa winters to go.... If you get motivated with all your great resolutions, can you help me get going???? I haven't been productive since fall!

Hello woman! You have 583 resolutions! Stop making them and pick your best three and go to it. I always set myself up for failure if I make more than that. Plus, I wish I could slow down a little to read to my girls and play with them a tad more like you're doing--in the grand scope of things you're picking the "greater good." love ya

Of course that above comment is coming from the girl who is was at the park an hour ago in 70 degree sunny weather.

I tell you what if I end up another 5 years in a cold state like Wisconsin...I think I will die. You could always take a trip to see me :)!! Even though the cold wouldn't change, it just might be worth it!

Guess What?!? You're normal! The other night on the news, I saw a story about last Monday officially being named, "Depression Day!" It's like a National recognized day! Our nation has picked the 3rd Monday in January each year for this "Depression Day." WHY?!? Because this is the precise time when: 1)We're in the thick of the cold weather. 2)We've come upon financial dire straits (after the Holidays.) and 3)We're failing at our New Year's Resolutions about now!
Thus...the "Winter Blahs!" - The "experts" have identifed it - you've just named it something different.
