The Twelve Years of Marriage

On the twelfth year of marriage my true love sent to me,

twelve Christmas mornings spent away with extended family,

eleven months of knowing each other before we were married,

ten years of schooling,

nine major purchases (over $300),

eight hundred new recipes tried,

seven frigid midwest winters,

six thousand diapers,

five glorious kids,

four long road trips to Utah,

three states we've lived in,

two hundred thousand dollars in debt,

and one lost wedding ring.
