It's all about the numbers

I am a G5P4013. Do you know what that means? It is some ob doctor term that tells all your baby making history in a set of numbers. I can't believe I am a G5- how many times I have been pregnant. Amazing! When I called the doctor to set up an appointment, yep I am pregnant and she asked what number of pregancy this was I choked out the answer 'uh, 5' with wide eyes. Anyway here are a few other numbers for ya.

due date: my birthday May 19

weeks right now: 13

the rest of these numbers are for all my pregnancies

# of times I have thrown up: 2- I had food poisoning with Alyssa

# of months being pregnant (you are only pregant 9 months for every pregnancy Robs): 40 out of last 108

# of months breastfeeding: 36 out of last 74

which means pregnant or breastfeeding: 76 out of last 108 months

After we lost Andrew I waited and wasn't pregnant for 16 months, since I got pregnant (with McKell) till current I have only not been pregnant or breast feeding for 17 months. Wow!

check out this number-
number of shots given: 1,932 (I have a blood clotting disorder and have to give myself shots when I am pregnant.)

So there are my digits. Can you tell I'm a math girl?

Congratulations Nicole. So exciting. I can't believe you only threw up twice in all your pregnancies. 2 times in one day was a good day for me. Although I don't know that I would trade it for the shots. Another of my friends has the clotting disorder and it looked so painful. Good luck with everything.

So, what's the "40" number in the middle mean? I'm assuming the "13" on the end means the weeks you are along.
Also, on the Upside...All those months of being pregnant or nursing...means NO FASTING!! (YEA!! sshhh, I didn't say that!)

P.S. I'm a "Math Geek" too, so I think I might run some numbers...except, I get "extra credit" on my pregnancies (# of months) since I've always either been overdue or on time and NEVER early like you!)
I got quite a reaction, too, when I got the, "How many pregnancies?" question - I'm a G6! (But, it's probably worse in Iowa/Non-Utah!) And then when they got to the "How big were the babies?" part of the interview, they about passed out! ;)

Suz, it is actually a 0 then 1 then 3. O- number of miscarriages, 1- number of stillbirths, and 3- number of living children.

You are a math girl. You were always great to figure out the good deals we would get while we were shopping at the outlets.

Oh and again a big CONGRATULATIONS! I still love how you casually slipped in that you were pregnant when we were figuring out our trip for the spring. :-)

Oh and Jason found out that he is actually working in Seattle in April and not March so I hope that you didn't already switch vacation times...??? Sorry, he just told me today.

Pretty sweet numbers Nicole. 5 times being pregnant is impressive, especially with the shots! Good luck with the pregnancy, and we can't wait to see the baby bump at Christmas!

Nicole....Actually, on our way home we weren't too close to you, so you can't be mad! We went on I-29 down towards Kansas City! But, if we ever do make it up that way closer, I will definitely let you know!

Nicole,
I saw this yesterday, but didn't have time to comment. Congrats. I hope you guys are excited. If it was me posting this noone would be congratulating me, they'd be sending me kleenex. Three's as many as I can handle! You are just like my husband with the math thing. My brain does not function that way at all! If you get a chance will you get me Desirae's email address. I know she's close to where we're moving and I'd love to get in touch. Isn't her little ice skating daughter cute! My kids are so envious of her. I really look forward to getting back to civilization. Good luck with the pregnancy. All will be well.

I'm trying to set a record with the # of comments this time! :)
BUT....On the subject of Math still, I've got a Children's book that "Math Girls" are sure to like. It's called, Math Curse by Jon Scieszka.
Check it out from your library. I read it to my kids - the older boys TOTALLY understand/appreciate it, but the littlier girls still like it, too.

I'm excited to meet the new little Brenchley! You should have put the number of naps you take! Oh wait that's ZERO!!!

What a fun way to tell everyone!

Do they do anything fancy for twins in that number sequence?

Maybe you'll have a set and can throw that number into your mix!
